Community Outreach Lunch Program

SPC has been providing community lunches to those in need each Wednesday for the past 10 years. Starting with just a handful of participants, the program has grown to several dozen people attending each week.

These people are our guests, and we welcome them. Most arrive early for a warm and comfortable place to relax and to enjoy beverages and snacks. This is followed by a main entrée provided by St. Vincent De Paul, and side dishes provided by our volunteers. Although the lunches are always hosted by SPC, we work in rotation with Star of the Sea Church and Christ Church to provide volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up the meals.

Lunch is served each Wednesday at 12:00 noon in Thomson Hall.

All are welcome to volunteer, observe, or dine!

PEDAL FOR PROTEIN, September 2014

A fundraiser to provide protein-rich food for the food banks and food pantries in Northern California, organized by Patty Sanders of the Presbytery of the Redwoods. The event concluded at SPC, when the riders were greeted with a delicious lunch and warm hugs! Delightful photos by Patti Oji.
