If you love music and working with others to create something extraordinarily beautiful and compelling, we are for you! It’s time to join us on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.
Robert Shaw called music ‘the everlasting and inescapable act of creation’ and he passionately believed, that ‘the life of music is reborn at every singing.’
We live in a time when excellent new choral music continually expands an amazing choral tradition. Each season we add compelling new works to our repertoire of classics, both modern and traditional. And we have the great privilege of recreating that music for a diverse community.
We sing many Sundays of the year, present an Annual Christmas Vespers Concert that has become a Northern California tradition, and offer occasional performances in other venues. A highlight of last season was our recreation of Morten Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium to close the San Francisco Movement Festival in Grace Cathedral.

A video of this message is coming soon. And Paul gave us ‘Witness to Selma’ on Aug 5, which his pastor father delivered in 1965. It is as relevant today as it was 53 years ago! Exciting things are always happening at church! Please drop by our website and Facebook page often as the good news is updated at least weekly.
When I first came, I was struck by the deep caring evident in the SPC community, the warm and friendly atmosphere, and the congregation’s openness to, and interest in, religious traditions other than their own. I invite you to look around and get a feel for our church. We welcome any comments or questions that might be on your mind. If you’re not currently a member of our church, or if you aren’t a “church person,” we invite you to drop in to a Sunday service or to other musical or spiritual events. You might be surprised. And of course feel free to reach out and call or e-mail me or other church staff. Contact
We hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship together, share fellowship at our services and events, and serve each other and the community through our ministries.
